"That's Scrap - Fabric Blade Blog Hop"!! - Flower

Today I had a little down time and thought I would do a little creating. With all the work that has gone into preparing our CuttingEdge Magazine to go live, I needed a little break.

So I thought I'd create something for the Thats Scrap Fabric Blade Blog Hop.

Can you guess what material I've used to cut my flower from? A coffee filter!! Just your average coffee filter. I purchased the fabric blade  from Thats Scrap Inc .  Penny Duncan
has generously provided her flower files so we can participate in the hop. Stop by her blog to download the flowers and join in the fun!! I will defiantly be making more of them.

I cut my flowers using my Black Cat Cougar along with the fabric blade and the red Click Blade Holder

You can see just how thin the coffee filter is and how nice the fabric blade cut the flower out. I did not have any of the cone shaped filters so I just used the regular ones. The blade did a fantastic job!

Once my flowers were cut, I made a mixture of Pearl x Powder (turquoise), water and a little bit of hairspray. I painted this mixture onto my flowers. While they were drying I used some Tsukineko Stain on the greenery.
Once it was all dry, I used a Inkadinkado Gold Glam Pigment Marker on the leaves to add some veining. Then I glued all my flower pieces together. I applied some Glossy Accents to the center and added some Martha Stewart Metallic Glass Microbeads.

The settings I used for cutting out my flowers with my Black Cat Cougar are Click Blade Holder set at 1,
F 32 and V 80.

My products used

Thanks for looking
Michelle
