Doily Snowflake

We have been very fortunate again this year, not a lot of snow. But it has been cold. I hope the trend continues, I'm not really a fan of ice and snow. LOL

To create my project, I used SVGCuts Christmas Ornaments SVG Kit. This is such a nice ornament kit and three of the ornaments can be used for other projects besides decorating your tree. These ornaments would look great hanging in a window this time of year.

Cut lace rosette and assemble.  Punch out your scallop shape and adhere to lace rosette. I cut two strips of white cardstock 8 1/2 by 1 1/2, punch using a Martha Stewart edge punch and score. Assemble and adhere to your red foil scallop. Cut 1 1/2 inch circle from red foil and adhere to second rosette. Cut 1 inch circle and adhere to red circle. Add a button and twine.

Supplies:

White Cardstock
Red Foil - AC Cardstock
Button - Martha Stewart
Candy Cane - Trendy Twine
Doily Edge Punch - Martha Stewart
Black Cat Cougar - That's Scrap, Inc

Have a Great Day!

Window Box Mother's Day Card

During my internet travels, I came across this beautiful Card and Tutorial Here
I really liked this style of card and decided to make one. With all the flowers I've been making lately, I thought it would be a good way to use some of them.
I created this card for my MIL for Mother's Day.  I've been working on it for the last 2 days on and off while doing other things in between. She loves the color pink.
The white Flourish and Flowers on the left are by Sharon. She has taken a break from designing currently.
The heart on the inside of the window is a file from SVG Cuts, it's a free file which you can find Here
I printed the heart on glossy photo paper and used Scotch Foam Adhesive to attach it. To pop it a bit from the center.

I did not want to over do it with a lot of printed paper. I wanted the flowers to stand out, that is why I have made it rather plain.
The white rose, in the right hand corner is a flower file by Pam. Be sure to stop by her blog and check out all her beautiful projects.

The pink flowers are Recollections, I have also applied some Rhinestones to the smaller white  flowers.

For the inside, I covered the box with pink cardstock and embossed it with a heart embossing folder. The doily mat is made using Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page, Vintage Doily. This punch is very pretty, I like the delicate pattern. I also cut a frame to go around the box to hide the box flaps. I'm still not sure what I will add to the Doily just yet.

I found a nice sentiment for the inside of my card. For the mat, I once again use free files from SVG Cuts. It's a border that I copied and pasted, flipped it and then welded a rectangle to the center of the borders to create a mat for my sentiment. I printed it on photo paper and cut it out.

This is the back.

MyScrapChick Challenge

We are having our first challenge of the year on the MTC Forum featuring myscrapchick. They have provided a file for us to work with, Bug Cards. Thank you Val and Kristi. You can get more info Here

This is the card I created using the file. I have to run out and get some more Valentine paper, this is from last year. I created the heart frame in MTC, I also applied some heart glitter to the frame in between each heart. It looks great in person. I used the Swirl and Heart embossing folders also.

This is the inside of the card. I also used myscrapchicks free file this week, Love PopUp Card. You can get a free file every Friday in their weekly newsletter. You can go Here to sign up for the newsletter.

I used my same frame for the inside of the card also. This time applying some white heart glitter in between each heart on the frame. I love the glue that came with it because it has such a small tip. Perfect for applying these tiny hearts, LOL

The sentiment "U Make My Heart Flutter" is from SVG Cuts, the free Valentines Captions which you can get Here. It was perfect for the card challenge.

Easter Card

Feels like forever since I have made anything. My grandmother is doing better and they moved her to a hospital closer to me.

For this card I used a SVG Cuts File. It's the Easter Egg from the Waterfall Cards. I also used the Easter Cross from MyScrapChick. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders on the cross and the egg and Stickles on the outside of the egg and cross. I wanted to use popdots on the cross but because I'm going to mail it I opted not to. I printed the sentiment, the font is Palace Script MT.

Thanks for looking.

Projects completed recently

This will be a long post, LOL. Here are some projects completed over the last couple months. I apologize for the bad lighting on some of the photos. When I can't sleep I craft and often take the photos in the early hours of the morning.

For a challenge on the MTC Forum in 2010. We had to alter something in our home with vinyl. It was fall so I chose a pumpkin. Cut using my Expression and the program Make The Cut.
