ScrappyDew Paper Piecing Layers Tutorial - MTC v.4.6.1

For this tutorial I'm using the Freebie by ScrappyDew, "Flamingos in Love." You can download it here.

One of the reasons I love ScrappyDew pattern files so much, because they're so versatile. The pattern files come with assembled layers. You can use this layer for a Print n Cut or add textures to. You don't have to spend time assembling each individual layer. It has already been done for you. Saving valuable time!
Now the SVG files are available with assembled layers as well! Perfect for Sure Cuts A Lot users.

As the ScrappyDew Facebook ADMIN, I hear this question frequently. How do I assemble the layers after they're cut? I created a Tutorial to help with the assembly of the layers. I came up with this technique some time ago, and put it into a tutorial. This was asked by someone using MTC Software.

Open the Pattern File
Select the Pattern File with the complete design.
You may have to Unlock the Layer.
Select All - Move the design to the upper left corner of the mat.
Re-size the design accordingly.
Go to File - Print Options - Check Print Wireframe Only.
Go to File - Print Preview.
Now you're ready to print. Be sure to set your Printer Orientation.
Take the printed sheet to your craft area. You can now see exactly where each of the layers should be placed on the design. Re-use this same sheet of paper to print additional designs on the front and back.

I hope this tutorial is helpful for those who work with paper piecings.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great day!
