Baptism Card

Happy Monday everyone!
This is what I spent most of my Sunday doing. That and looking for a pack of AC white textured card stock, that seems to have vanished. LOL I really needed to get this card done for today and had wanted to use it for my project. I was stuck using this plain white cardstock which I really did not want to do but had no choice.

I found this baby dress template some time ago and did a pixel trace on it. I don't know who the template belongs to, so I can't share the file until I find out where it came from.

I made a little collar for the dress using basic shapes in MTC. I also applied some pearls. I had purchased some cross charms at Wal-mart last year and never used them. Glad I had them on hand, was a nice accessory.

Last week I was in AC Moores and found some pretty lace spools for $1. Added some to the bottom of my card along with some more pearls.

I found this quote online, which I will add the link when I find it. I also realized there was a spelling error after I copied and pasted the text, printed and took the photo, "baptized". The inside was reprinted and adhered after the photos were taken. I always adhere the inside at the very end in case of any changes I want to make. I was tired last night to re-do photos. LOL

I also created a box for the card. I used Sharon Mobley's flourish and the box is from Eleanor Partridge, SVGShop at MyGrafico.

I also made a tag with the date the baby is being baptized.

I think adding a layer of embossed vellum or some netting would look really pretty also. You could use this same idea for confirmation.
Thanks for looking.

Have a great day!

  1. This would be a perfect file for my daughter-in-laws baby shower--she wants a vintage/shabby chic tea party .....

  2. Michelle, this is just stunning.

  3. I found the page where the template link is. It's on Mel's blog here. Click on number 2:

Thank you for the comments, appreciate it.

  4. Michelle, this is totally adorable. Great Job!

  5. Oh wow!! I definitely need to scraplift this!! :) My daughter in law would love this for our new granddaughter!! You inspire me Michelle!!

  6. This is so gorgeous. If you find the details and can share the file I would love to copy your talent! Thanks for the post. Everything about this is lovely.

  7. Saw your post on the MTC forum and had to check it out. WOW...SO it! As Ruth states above, "you inspire me" too. Thanks for sharing the link.

  8. I also found the link on the Mtc forum. I love the card and box. I am working on our first baby's baby dedication page. I will try to copy your beautiful dress.

    1. would love to see it when you're finished. I think this same concept would be nice for a confirmation also. A little more grown up version of a dress. Maybe a silhouette of a little girl and then add the dress and a veil.
