Baptism Card

Happy Monday everyone!
This is what I spent most of my Sunday doing. That and looking for a pack of AC white textured card stock, that seems to have vanished. LOL I really needed to get this card done for today and had wanted to use it for my project. I was stuck using this plain white cardstock which I really did not want to do but had no choice.

I found this baby dress template some time ago and did a pixel trace on it. I don't know who the template belongs to, so I can't share the file until I find out where it came from.

I made a little collar for the dress using basic shapes in MTC. I also applied some pearls. I had purchased some cross charms at Wal-mart last year and never used them. Glad I had them on hand, was a nice accessory.

Last week I was in AC Moores and found some pretty lace spools for $1. Added some to the bottom of my card along with some more pearls.

I found this quote online, which I will add the link when I find it. I also realized there was a spelling error after I copied and pasted the text, printed and took the photo, "baptized". The inside was reprinted and adhered after the photos were taken. I always adhere the inside at the very end in case of any changes I want to make. I was tired last night to re-do photos. LOL

I also created a box for the card. I used Sharon Mobley's flourish and the box is from Eleanor Partridge, SVGShop at MyGrafico.

I also made a tag with the date the baby is being baptized.

I think adding a layer of embossed vellum or some netting would look really pretty also. You could use this same idea for confirmation.
Thanks for looking.

Have a great day!

    1. would love to see it when you're finished. I think this same concept would be nice for a confirmation also. A little more grown up version of a dress. Maybe a silhouette of a little girl and then add the dress and a veil.
